Just received this letter from Paraic Grogan the director of Happy Football Cambodia Australia. We are so proud of our boys, Superstars on & off the field!
Hello all,Its been just over two weeks since the Cambodian team returned from the 9th Homeless World Cup in Paris. The team finished 45th out of 48 teams winning three of their 13 games. Whilst the team struggled on the pitch, always giving 100% but unfortunately playing against much bigger players with a lot more experience…..off the pitch they were superstars. Everyone loved the Cambodian team because what they lacked in size, they more than compensated for with the desire and passion for the Cambodian jersey. Off the pitch the players behaved so well, it was a joy to work with them. They never caused us any problems and made the staff laugh on many occasions with their sense of humour. Most of the credit for this must go to you, our partner organisations who have done a great job shaping them into respectful young men.The 10th Homeless World Cup is in Mexico City, Mexico in August 2012 and it is my sincere hope that the relationship between HFCA and you, our five partners will continue to strengthen and grow. All the best.Paraic— Paraic GroganChairperson
